Stats: Get DEX to 15 or so, then pump STR until level(Domo Gold) 30, at 30, raise DEX to 20 and continue pushing STR, at 35, raise DEX to 30, then focus on STR. You'll do less damage per swing, but make it up by hitting far more often. Another useful build for party type players, and one of the most common hybrid types. Can solo far better than a pure offense type, but still not recommended.

PROS: Hits more often than a pure offense style swordsman, has some solo ability, more skill variety. CONS: Will take more hits than a pure offense style swordsman, does less damage than a pure offense type, consumes a large amount of MP to function. Skill advice: This build makes the most use out of Hair-Raising Hiss, Eagle Shriek and Lash Out of all three common swordsman builds. As you hit more often, Lash Outs' speed increase is easily noticed, and the -def and -atk from Hiss and Shriek will enable you to both get the most damage, and take the least, for the amount of MP you'll be consuming. Maniac attack can be thrown on for extra damage, but Berserk Blow is not recommended for this type.
